Spectacular ISKCON Rath Yatra Celebration in Novi

The annual Rath Yatra (Festival of Chariots) organized by ISKCON Detroit attracted thousands of visitors to Novi on Sunday, July 23, 2023. The outdoor event with an elaborately decorated chariot with the images Lord Krishna along with His sister
Subhadra and brother Balaram was drawn around the streets of Novi. All attendees to the free event were treated to delicious cuisine, shopping and entertainment. Kids also had a play area with bouncy houses and enjoyed a magic show performance.
Kids also enthralled the audience with music and dance performances.
The dedication of ISKCON volunteers was evident with the meticulous arrangements and execution. Golf carts were available to move people from the parking lot to the event area. The friendly demeanor of the volunteers and attendees was noticeable.
It appeared that everybody was relaxed and happy. A helicopter flew overhead and showered the Rath (Chariot) with flowers making it an exciting event for all.

The Festival of Chariots, one of India's most ancient and popular festivals, is celebrated in hundreds of cities worldwide. The Rath Yatra festival in Detroit first began in 1985 and continues to enthrall thousands of participants.
