Meet Vedant Gupta, MSU freshman, entrepreneur, speaker and author

Meet Vedant Gupta, an 18-year old entrepreneur / speaker / author. Born and raised in Flint, Vedant is a freshman at Michigan State University.

Vedant has now done over 2,000 star interviews and hosted shows on his Instagram Live. The stars he has talked to include the biggest names: Patrick Mahomes, Bollywood movie star Ranveer Singh, Zion Williamson, Magic Johnson, Dierks Bentley, Snoop Dogg, Martha Reeves, Coach K, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jack Nicklaus, and many more.

He won $10,000 1st place prize in the Youth category for the Rocket Mortgage Detroit Demo Day entrepreneur competition, as a 10th grader, making national media for sharing some of that with his fellow youth contestants, along with having placed in other entrepreneur competitions going back to middle school.


Vedant won the speaking champion contest for Optimist Club followed by a trip to the world speaking championship. He is now a paid speaker who has spoken at all levels from schools to university to clubs and conferences.

His big accomplishment is being one of the only teenage authors ever in history anywhere in the world to write a nonfiction book over 300 pages. The book available on Amazon is called "Global Kid Media - A kid entrepreneur's time-traveling journey" which has sold about 400 copies since coming out this year including 120 copies bought by Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores and his Tom Gores Foundation to give to kids at a Detroit kids camp plus dozens of copies bought by school districts and libraries and a lot at events all over.
