As our community members will be part of a large segment of Holiday travelers it important to take note of the upcoming weather forecast warnings. This is important for safety and well-being. The storm system is expected to dump snow and make driving conditions treacherous for millions. It is likely to impact the air network in America. Please plan for long days at airports and potential flight cancellations. It is more important to plan for contingencies if you have kids to care for.

Here are some key points to note:

1. Check the weather and driving conditions before you leave home.

2. Dress warm clothing. Pay attention to your shoes. In extreme cold conditions it is not uncommon to have problems with your toes.

3. If you are driving take blankets, food and water with you. Make sure that your car is filled with gas, tires, battery and brakes need to be good

4. Drive with caution especially if there is snow and ice on the road.

5. If conditions are bad then STAY HOME.

6. Check with your airline/airport before leaving home

7. Prepare for power outages at home.

8. Stock up on food and water.

9. Also, make sure that you are set with your medications.

10. Wear a mask as flu and covid cases are spiking.

Sadly, the Government is predicting there will be several lives lost on roads in the next two weeks.

Be safe!
