August 2022Ganesha Chaturti is celebrations are underway starting today (August 30th 2022). Ganesha Chaturti is one of the largest Hindu Holidays celebrated worldwide. As the celebration attracts the masses, Lord Ganesha is affectionately called the People’s God.
Also known as Vinayaka Chavithi (Vinayaka Chaturthi), is a Hindu festival celebrating the arrival of Ganesh to earth. The observance coincides with the 4th day of waxing moon. The festival is marked with the installation of Ganesh clay idols at homes. Many local temples organize clay Ganesha making events for kids.
As the Lord of Wisdom and remover of obstacles, Lord Ganesha ranks #1 in the hearts of millions. Hindu Temples in Michigan have organized events. Families will be preparing delicious cuisine to share with friends and relatives.
