Indian MP Mr. Suresh Prabhu in Michigan

Indian Member of Parliament Mr. Suresh Prabhu was the guest of honor at an event attended by several Indian American community leaders. 

Notably, Mr. Prabhu is Indian PM’s Sherpa to G20 and G7.  He has held cabinet level positions ranging from Civil Aviation, Commerce & Industry, Environments & Forests and Railways during his political career. 

Mr. Prabhu addressed the audience and highlighted India’s quest to evolve into an economic powerhouse and attain the goal of a $5 trillion economy.  He pointed out that the Indian aviation sector is the third largest in the world. Over 2,300 jets are on order with Boeing Corporation.  India’s growth will benefit the world economy. Mr. Prabhu added that while economic growth is the focus it is also important that spiritual well being is nurtured.  

Heartfulness Institute hosted the event.  James Joseph from the Institute welcomed the gathering and announced that The Heartfulness institute has launched a program to give momentum to a movement to transform consciousness both individual and collective levels.  To that end, an event is planned for October 12, 2019 in Troy.  Stay tuned for details.
