Heavy rains on Friday June 25th has caused huge flooding issues in Michigan.  Especially in Wayne county some cities got over 6 inches of rain in a couple of hours.

Cities like Ann Arbor, Canton, Dearborn, Dearborn Heights and Garden City were affected more than others. Several streets were flooded and basements were flooded.

As more rains are forecast in the coming days, please exercise caution while driving. Some of the freeways are shutdown as pumps failed due to excessive flooding.

Also, it is important for homeowners to check their basement sump pumps.

Some storms may be accompanied by thunder and lightening as well.  Please stay away from windows.  If you hear a tornado siren, move to the basement.

Stay safe!
