Election 2020 – Exercise Caution

Finally, the 2020 election campaign is ending today.  The most divisive presidential election in a hundred years will be decided soon.  

Not unlike the nation, the Indian American community is also divided in their support for the two presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Millions of WhatsApp messages flooded the phones with memes and more.  On a positive note, the Indian American community was more involved, than ever, in the political process. Political parties and candidates have recognized the relevance of our community now. Hopefully, this will give us a seat at the table. 

Police in several cities around the country are preparing for possible disturbances as passions are running high on all sides. It is best to exercise caution for a few days while driving or shopping. 

Also, note that COVID-19 cases are at record levels. Wear your mask and protect yourself and others.
